Bus 124 will be 45 minutes late this morning.

It's a big day in athletics with women's softball playing in the semi-final at 2:00 p.m. at Central Field - and hopefully a gold medal game after that!

Flag football teams are heading to Summerside for gold medal games, with the women taking on Rural at 7:30 p.m. and the men vs Bluefield at 7:45 p.m. 

Athletic Banquet is Monday at 6:00 p.m.  All student athletes, from the current school year, are invited to attend, but must purchase a ticket for $2.  Tickets are on sale every day at lunch this week in front of the gym.  Students who owe uniforms will not be permitted to purchase a ticket until the uniform is returned.

Special shout out to Ava Reynolds and Elizabeth Wedge Lafferty who competed in the National Skills Canada Competition in Toronto last week, and came in third place in 2D Animation.

The Colonel Gray Prom Committee are having a “dough raiser” on Thursday at Domino’s Pizza at 386 University Avenue, that all grade-level students can participate in.  Every pizza, using the order code DOUGH or DOUGH2, will raise $3 or $5 for Prom.

Want to boost your resume and university applications while making a real difference? The CGHS Statice Health Club is looking for its next President.   We are the PEI branch of a global organization with over 300 branches across 120 countries, and our school team has already raised almost $1,000 this year for local healthcare. If you have great leadership skills and a passion for wellness, pick up an application from Mrs. Costello in Room 144 today.

Have you ever wanted to help people gain access to clean drinking water?  At lunch on Thursday, join fellow Colonels in a Walk For Water Campaign to support the thirst project.  Come to the lobby, give a little donation, then take a quick stroll around the neighborhood to help spread awareness.  There might even be a little treat for those who participate!  See you there.

Start the movement is organizing a charity dodgeball game at lunch on Thursday.   All teams can sign up on the gym bulletin board.  Proceeds will go to KidsSport PEI.  Register your team by Thursday at morning break.

Congratulations to Ezra MacLeod for winning the prize by guessing the closest number of boxes recycled by the Everyday Compost and Organics Team and volunteers, which are 161 boxes. Please pick up the prize in room 217 at lunch. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Have you played minor hockey, have volunteer experience, and will be attending Holland College or pursuing a university education next year?  If so, check out the poster in Student Services for the two Trainor & Matheson Memorial Bursaries for $1000 each.  Deadline is Friday.

Prom ticket bracelets are being sold in the library all week during regular school hours. Tickets are $30 each, and you can purchase up to two tickets. After this week, prices will increase, so be sure to stop by the library to get yours before the end of the day on Friday! 

Helping Paws Initiative continues until Friday collecting donations for local animal shelters of pet food, blankets, toys, and old animal accessories. Donation box in the lobby over lunch each day.

Our school cafeteria will be winding down this Friday.   Next Monday and Tuesday, the service will be very limited, with only sandwiches, wraps, cookies, muffins and water available for purchase.  The provincial school lunch program will continue through the exam period to June 15th, as well as our school breakfast program running from 8:20 - 8:55 a.m. each day until June 15.
